Guidelines and Entry Form

As part of ART-TELL, The Fine Arts Center of Brigham City is sponsoring its annual, themed art show Thursday through Saturday, April 11, 12 & 13, 2024. We are inviting artists from Box Elder, Cache and Weber Counties to participate. This will be a juried show with cash merit awards given in both amateur and professional categories. Paintings, drawings, sculpture, fiber arts, quilting, and photography are all accepted. The exhibit will be open 2:00 to 7:30 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Activities will end Saturday evening, April 13th at 7:30 pm with an awards program and reception where winners will be announced and prizes awarded. Artwork can also be listed and priced for sale. 


ELIGIBILITY:

Original art work by persons 15 years (9th grade) or older and who reside or work in Box Elder, Cache, and Weber Counties.

Up to four items may be submitted per artist with a $10 entry fee per work of art.   ($5 entry fee for Students)


SPECIFICATIONS:
1. There is an entry fee of $10 per submission.  ($5 entry fee for Students)
2. All art work must include a statement about the artwork in 25 words or less, and relate it to this
year’s theme of “My Imagination” (open to your interpretation and due on submission)
3. All art work must be ready to be hung or set out for exhibit.

Photos, drawings, and paintings need to be framed and wired for hanging.
4. The recommended largest size is 4 feet in any direction.
5. Art work chosen for exhibit cannot be picked up early.


CATEGORIES:
There will be a professional and an amateur category.

Judge may determine awards in any of the

following categories:

Most Representative of Theme,

Best of Show,

1st, 2nd  and 3rd place and Honorable Mention winners.

for categories as needed depending on submissions:

(Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Drawing, Quilting, Textile Arts, etc.)


There will also be a People’s Choice Award.

Top prizes: $60 or more.


CALENDAR:


April 8: (Monday) 3-5 pm, Call to arrange artwork drop off time if Tues. or Wed. is difficult.
April 9 & 10:  3:00 - 7:30 pm, entries received.
April 11: (Thursday) Entries judged in morning. Exhibit open 2 to 7:30 pm.
April 12: (Friday) Exhibit open 2 to 7:30 pm
April 13: (Saturday) Exhibit open 2 to 7:30 pm, Art show Awards Reception: 7:30 pm - Brief program and
awards announced and prizes given. (Art work may be picked up after reception)
April 15: (Monday) 3 to 5:30 pm, Pick up art work if not able to collect on Saturday evening.


INSURANCE AND LIABILITY: The Fine Arts Center staff will take every precaution to handle
art work carefully and keep the building secure. However, since insurance value on original artwork is
difficult to establish The Fine Arts Center will not insure the artwork.
