2010 Dates: July 26-30
Call in registration by July 16th. We are planning auditions for parts the week before, ( July 21 or 22), with a part for everyone who signs up. What is wrong with Wellington Castle and the odd little King? Can anyone solve the riddle and break the magic spell. Does anyone do anything right there? . . . and is the dragon really that big and dangerous? Come and help us sing, dance , and act our way through this delightful tale, guaranteed to tickle your funny bone.
This week-long program offers youth 9 years and up a chance to experience music, theatre and puppetry combined. The program culminates with a "park invasion" and fun outdoor show. Dance, live music, live acting and puppetry are all included. Cost is $50 for the week with some scholarships and family discounts available.
Our 2009 ‘Puppets in the Park’ was a great success! We were amazed at the talent and abilities of the youth who joined us for this week of puppets and musical theater experience. We are very grateful to Bonnie Richardson who wrote and directed “The Problem with Pirates” which turned out to be a very cute and humorous play. We thank Candie Richardson for her help as assistant director and for providing piano back up. We want to acknowledge and thank an awesome cast of youth who put in a lot of hard work and showed us how much fun singing and working together can be. They included : Dallan Richards as Captain, Bonnie Mitson as First Mate, James Richardson as Ship’s Helper ( puppet), Megan Richards as Pickle Barrel (singing Puppet), Kitsel Lusted as Cook, Sydnee Nethery , Reagyn Delozier, and Alice Richardson as the Island Wenches, and Jayden Wanlass, Mary Richardson, Julianna and Adrianna Thode, Ephraim Taylor, and Katelyn Steed as pirates. Thanks also to Tiffany Herzog and Scottie Mitson for filling in as sound techs. We were also grateful for such great audience participation. Arrrgh, May ye all enjoy sailing on yer own similar adventures.
