Family Theatre Series- Called Creative stage!
Our goal is to offer a variety of family-friendly opportunities that include family theater by families, professional quality youth theater by youth and support of emerging artists.
A Fun Theatre Experience for Families by Families!
A theatre opportunity for the whole family. We are excited to be working with Ryan Erwin and several advanced theater students from USU as they use their recently acquired directing skills to join us for some awesome experiences. All practices and performances will be held at the Fine Arts Center.
Watch here also for the 2016-2017 season information. Starting with another great Melodrama written by DeAnn Nichols and directed by Geri Garfield
The Fine Arts Center has a series of educational theater experiences for 1st through 12th grades, with additional opportunities for adults (Peach Days and occasional community theater) Classes range from 8 to 14 week sessions and are repeated through the school year. We also have a year round Improv program for older youth and college students.
Students learn stage direction, characterization, poise, voice projection, body language and memorization. Whether they plan to become theater majors or just want to be comfortable in front of an audience, theater is full of games and ideas that expand a student’s self expression and leadership skills. Everyone gets a voice, and is part of the action.
Theater is a team sport where taking turns and helping each other is important, and where every part is needed. As a student matures, theater is also a way to learn more about human nature as good actors need to observe and better understand how people react differently to various situations.
We are grateful for all the great, experienced and knowledgeable instructors who have worked to make our theater programs such a success. More information on the instructors is available at About Our Instructors
Pre-registration by phone is requested for all classes- You can call us at 435-723-0740. Registration fees can be paid the first day of class. All classes require a minimum of 6 students to run. Family discounts and scholarships may be available
