Winners in the 2nd annual ART-TELL visual art competition themed “What Bugs Me?” held March 27-28 at the Brigham City Fine Arts Center were announced during an artists reception Saturday evening.
Best of Show award went to local artist Colleen H. Bradford for “Hopeless” a mixed-media collage. First place for framed artwork went to Dave Kafton for an oil painting entitled “Rural Space”, while first place in three-dimensional art went to Holly Fuller for her wire sculptures.
Honorable mention went to Curt Fuller for a wood-turned spider jewel box, and to Colette Bradford for a painting entitled “Polyphemus Moth”.
People’s Choice first place award went to Dave Kafton for his oil painting, with the second place People’s Choice awarded to Adam Lowe for his watercolor painting entitled “Sea Turtle”.
Judges for the event were professional artists Sarah Lundberg, Larry Douglass and Russell Case.
The art competition was held in conjunction with storytelling events held both Friday and Saturday at the local Fine Arts Center, featuring professional storytellers both evenings.
