FYI  -January 15th Concert: Singer/Songwriter Double Feature with McCall Erickson and Marv Hamilton. This was an absolutely awesome concert!!!  We hope to have them back within the next two years.
MCCALL ERICKSON: When McCall Erickson sings, people listen. They can't help themselves. With her emotionally candid songwriting style and her sultry, passionate vocals, she draws people in with inescapable creative force. Quickly gaining press and fan recognition in the Indie Music scene as a performing songwriter, McCall writes candidly about everyday life experiences.  Her refreshing lyrics, colorful vocals, and relatable songs have drawn comparisons to Joni Mitchell and Norah Jones.

MARV HAMILTON:  “Marvmusic” is part folk, blues, roots and Americana, all soul. Earth music, breakup songs, blues and ballads. Marv released his debut album, "Wing and a Prayer" (acoustic blues, ballads and "Redrock eco-folk"), in 2000 under his own indie label, "Best Dog Records", followed by his second release, "The Mind Will Follow" (acoustic and electric folk, rock, blues and earthmusic) in 2006. Marv is a three-time winner in KRCL/Founder's Title Co. Folk and Bluegrass Performing Songwriter Showcase and a 2001 Kerrville Newfolk Finalist at Kerrville, Texas.

February 19th Concert:  The Legendary Porch Pounders
Attempting to save the soul of American music through the deconstruction of rock and roll,The Legendary Porch Pounders are a guitar/harmonica based acoustic duo featuring Dan Weldon and Brad Wheeler. Their roots-based songs of love, loss, and the celebration of life, are honest portraits from two men out to infuse rock and roll with the seminal blues/twang elements that made it great to begin with. Tall, lanky Wheeler blows his harp like Gabriel’s trumpet … but with real soul, not righteous bombast. Weldon likewise strums his Martin acoustic guitar, playing only what the song requires. When he sings, it’s good gravelly soul that sticks to your ribs.

March 19th Concert:  Aaron Ashton Band
Aaron Ashton (Violin, Electric Violin) is the sort of musician who lives in classical, fiddle and ethnic genres with equal ease. Aaron’s solo violin work can be heard on the soundtracks of St. Ange, The Messengers, and Boogeyman. He has won numerous awards including “2007 Studio Musician of the Year” Pearl Award; “Outstanding Violinist” from The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival; and “College Division Winner” of The Federation of Music Competition. Aaron has performed in the Country Music Awards, Summer Bash; The Naval Observatory (U.S. Vice Presidential Residence); and the Opening Ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Aaron currently leads the Aaron Ashton Band and just finished a new CD called "Split the Difference". He says of the recording, "If it isn't immediately apparent, I love an eclectic mix of musical styles . . . but I especially love folk music. For those like-minded souls interested in Irish, American, Scottish, gypsy, or any of the many other influences on this album, I've created an "if-you-like- this-you-might-also-like . . .".  http://aaronashton.bandcamp.com/album/split-the-difference-about-that-place-between-violin-fiddle

Also featured in the concert at the Fine Arts Center will be guitarist Austin Weyand and Ryan Tilby on bass, banjo, and mandolin. Austin is known for his creative solo guitar work and Ryan for his music and shananagans with "Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband."
