 The story telling part of ART-TELL will again be celebrated at USU Brigham City Campus.  Details are being finalized now for a youth Story telling contest to be held  on Friday afternoon March 30th, 2012.  Winners will head up our storytelling/ART-TELL celebrations at USU, Brigham City  as well as be eligble for cash prizes.
 
 
 
ART-TELL 2011 YOUTH STORYTELLING CONTEST
We had a great contest on April 1.  Special thanks to Claudia Oyler for organizing this year's event  and Sheri Grenko  for emceeing. We also thank  Aaron Crawford,  Claudia Oyler,  and Kaylee Smith for serving as judges.
 
There were three ages groups: 7-9 year olds,    10-13  year olds,  and 14-17 year olds

             Leia Isaacson is 7 years old and goes to Three Mile Creek Elementary.  She is the daughter of David & Ginger Isaacson.  Her interests are dancing, golf, drawing, reading & watching movies.  She gave her version of  "The Three Spinners" ,  written by the Grimm Brothers.

          Sarah Francis is 9 years old and is the daughter of Debra & Thomas Francis.  She attends Polk Elementary in Ogden.  She enjoys playing the violin and piano.  She told the story:  "Coyote and the Creator" which is a Native American Legend from the Salish.

          Amalia Sepulveda is the 8 year old daughter of Brooke Sepulveda and attends Lakeview Elementary.  Her hobbies are art and Math.  She told  the story "Pinkalicious" - written by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann.

 

                   Ten year old Emily Isaacson is the Daughter of Dave & Ginger Isaacson.  She attends 3 Mile Creek Elementary.  Her interests include basketball, softball, piano, golfing and reading good books.  She told the story of "Captain Dow and the Hole in the Donut "– written by Le Grand.

          Joshua Wesley Carver is 12 years old and attends Polk Elementary in Ogden.  He is the son of Kelly Quinz.  He enjoys reading, soccer, playing the trumpet and video games.  He tells his own version of  "The Wolf and the Seven Baby Goats" which he tells us is orginally from the  Brothers Grimm.

       

 

           Charles Davis is 15 years old and the son of Mark and Lynell Davis.  He attends Box Elder Middle School.  His interests include the piano, computers, and hiking.  The story he chose was one of his old favorites:  "The Princess and the Pea"  by Hans Christian Andersen

          Richelle Sutton is 17 years old and attends Box Elder High School.  She is the daughter of Tony and Tracy Sutton.  She enjoys reading, writing, drama, photography, learning, and making people laugh.  She has enjoyed re-telling the story  "Heckedy Peg" from a fairytale book by Audrey Wood.
