~The Art of Making a Difference

We so appreciate all the people and organizations  who help us exist to make a difference,  and as is stated in our mission:   " empower lives through the arts".  We are seeing this in so many  of our programs.

- The self confidence that is found in theater, especially a smaller theater program like ours where everyone has an important part and becomes  part of the cast "family" and can get individual help to develop acting and singing talents
-The joy of creating something fun and new

-The joy of learning new art techniques and having your
      drawing turn out as intended

-The fun of being needed as a volunteer teen and
helping different organizations around town or
      running a kids activity day
-Learning to sing a solo on a microphone and get up in front
of an audience knowing it will sound great

- Free access to inspiring professional  Friday evening concerts 6-7 months a year.

Our motivation to start this non-profit organization was to provide a safe, positive and artistic outlet for the teens in our community, especially those from low income homes. Because we wanted teens to see art as beneficial and  powerful at any age, we decided to promote arts opportunities  for all ages from preschool to older adults.  We  see art as a community building  tool that can bring families together, give young moms a chance to get out, encourage youth to work with each other, and inspire creativity in all ages.

Please help us continue this opportunity and movement.    Donate, Volunteer, or Get involved!

THE MUSIC IN THE CITY CONCERT SERIES   Started in 2009 by Austin Weyand, this 6-7 series of monthly 3rd Friday night concerts, has brought a fun and distinctive ( and affordable) indoor cultural event to the community with a variety of  high quality musicians  through out the region.

COLLABORATIONS: In  2019,  instead of raising concert fees to get more of the musicians we wanted to bring here, we were able to collaborate with Excellence in the Community.  Excellence has been working with the State Arts Council , cities and businesses since 2012 to bring  high quality live music to communities so that everyone no matter their income status could enjoy live music.

While some of their funding has been limited this year, they are still negotiating funding to cover at least half of the musician costs+  we are fortunate to have local businesses to step up and make the music magic happen.

RECOGNITION  Music supporters in Brigham City stepping up to enable these concerts be  free include:   1. First and Foremost Brigham City Community Hospital  for not only helping us with our series this year,  but for several years of free summer  concerts  in and around Brigham City,

 2. This year we also recognize KSM Music, Cover up, & Chim-chiminey.
